KangaROOS’ Omni-Racer Sneaker is the Best of Both Worlds
The crossbreed model arrives handcrafted and numbered.
In 2021, German footwear label KangaROOS joined forces with British creative studio MORPRIME Industries and Tommy Triggah to co-design the first installment of its “Inside Job” series. This saw the brand’s Racer Hybrid silhouette submerged in an autumnal palette.
Now, the duo has returned for a second round, aiming to create limited-edition gems that break ground with innovation. Dubbed “Inside Job Version 1.5,” the second phase of the collaboration introduces a new crossbreed model that fuses together the Racer’s upper and the Ultimate’s lower half.
Titled the Omni-Racer, the offering boasts a German handmade construction and arrives in two distinct colorways – “Saffron” and “Meranti.” The former is limited to 400 pairs and sees deep yellow nubuck overlays lying atop a cream mesh base. Hits of beige are well received on the tongues, medials and heels, while vivid blue pops on the tongue logos and a kangaroo outline peeks through the sides.
The “Meranti” colorway delivers a more muted approach, featuring brown suede overlays, contrasting cream panels and black detailing that accompany dashes of “Wasabi Green.” Only 100 pairs will be produced.
Both sneakers are individually numbered and packaged in exclusive boxing with custom artwork that matches the insoles.
The KangaROOS Omni-Racer is slated to drop on August 28th via KangaROOS and select retailers.
