One could make the argument that the most vital component of Nike SB‘s strategy for success year in and year out is its willingness and ability to ideate and execute collaborative initiatives. Whether it be with designers, streetwear brands or skate shops, the skate-focused label pumps out a barrage of team-ups annually, and 2022 is ready to bring about another: the Pawnshop Skate Co. x Nike SB Dunk High.

Only a handful of leaked images have emerged on our radar thus far, but we can already tell that the kicks are going to be fitted with striking details. Uppers are dressed with dark brown smooth leathers, but a blotch of the golden brown hue that is previewed towards the collars suggests that these could have wear-away capabilities. Swooshes are bordered with broken stitchings that appear in gold to match up with the gilded wing embellishments that are planted right above them. This element is a nod to the Covina-based skate store’s signature “Wing & Wheel” logo. More Pawnshop branding arrives on the outsider and inside banners of the tongues as well as the insoles for extra flair.

More information regarding its official drop date should be announced in the coming months.
