INITIAL Gentleman Delivers a 'Street Fighter II' Capsule Collection
Celebrating the 35th anniversary of the game.
Designer clothing store and label INITIAL Gentleman has worked with Capcom to design an exclusive 35th anniversary Street Fighter II capsule collection. The series consists of nine graphic tees and a kimono jacket inspired by the fan-favorite character Ryu.
The tees highlight the characters Chun Li, Blanka, Guile, Ken, Zangief, Dhalsim, E.Honda, and Ryu who are featured on the detailed semi-embroidered back graphics alongside Street Fighter II/INITIAL co-branding and stylized text prompts from the game including “PUSH START,” “INSERT COIN,” “CONTINUE,” and “GAME OVER.” The frontside displays additional collaborative branding drawing from the retro aesthetic of in-game text. Other pieces include a special “Electric Shock” tee and a navy kimono jacket featuring subtle back embroidery and oversized front pockets.
The Street Fighter II x INITIAL Gentleman collection is now available on the label’s website and physical location in Hong Kong. Items arrive in a special 35th-anniversary box resembling a retro Street Fighter II cassette.
