This November, the FIFA World Cup will be kicking off in Qatar, making it the first ever Middle Eastern nation to host the tournament. Opinions are divided as to whether the tournament deserves to be played there, with club football seasons being interrupted alongside the extreme weather conditions. Nevertheless, new stadiums will glitter and the skyline of Doha will be glowing in bright colors.

Sporting moments like this allow teams and nations to experiment with jerseys more than ever. With this in mind, adidas has just revealed the home and away Federation kits created for the national teams of Argentina, Germany, Japan, Mexico, and Spain. Each jersey is used as a canvas for creativity, touching on cultural inspirations such as the ancient civilizations in Mexico and Japan’s origami crow.

Collection highlights include Mexico’s away jersey which uses Mixtec art to summon the fighting spirit of the nation. The design is finished with a sign-off on the inside collar with a serpent to represent the capabilities of the human body. Germany’s home jersey features gold details along with a heat-applied team badge on the center of the chest. A bold vertical stripe is also included — taking inspiration from the very first Germany kit — as well as colored details on the collar that nod to the nation’s flag.

Each jersey is crafted from 100% recycled polyester, continuing adidas’ ongoing commitment to help reduce plastic waste. All kits are also made with HEAT.RDY technology that helps regulate player’s body temperature when on the pitch.

You can have a closer look at adidas’ Federation jerseys above and they are all available to purchase now on the official adidas website until September 12.
