Official Images of the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe "Dark Sulfur"
More “boring” shoes are coming from the famed contemporary artist.

Very rarely will a designer or artist market the very products they designed as “boring,” but Tom Sachs managed to do so with strong intention and garnered great success from it with the inaugural release of his NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe. After an expected sold out release, the designer announced that a restock would be going down in August 2022, but before that occurs, he’s also shining a light on the silhouette’s next colorway: the “Dark Sulfur” iteration. After surfacing earlier this year, the kicks’ official images have now been released by Nike.
In comparison to the first installment, this forthcoming variation takes a much bolder design approach. Mesh uppers and suede overlays alike are coated with a bright “Dark Sulfur” hue and come accessorized with angelic Swooshes on the sides. The tongues, laces and interior lining provide bright contrasts with their “Light Cream” exteriors while strong pops of orange are situated on the tongue and heel tabs. Beige midsoles and solid black waffle treading underneath string together its overall design.
There’s still no word on when these will hit the market, but it’s likely that an official launch could arrive in the next few months.
In other news, more photos of the upcoming Stüssy x Nike Air Max 2015 “Fossil” have appeared.
