Closer Looks: Nothing Phone (1)
The highly anticipated smartphone arrives July 21.
The global release for the highly anticipated Nothing Phone (1) is fast approaching and here’s your chance to take a closer look at the brainchild of OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei. Retaining much of Nothing’s signature design language, the new Phone (1) features a transparent back paired with an aluminum frame to offer a retro-futuristic look while enabling the company’s innovative, 900-LED Glyph Interface to shine through, allowing you to see who’s calling or texting, your battery life and more.
The main display comes in the form of a 6.55-inch OLED screen with HDR10+ support and runs at 120Hz to provide crisp, fluid imagery and coverage of one billion colors. Powering everything is a custom-made Snapdragon 778G+ chipset from Qualcomm specifically for the Nothing Phone (1). The chip includes wireless and reverse wireless charging, accelerated 5G connectivity, and a Game Mode for those looking for a competitive edge. Battery life lasts 18 hours per charge and can reach two days on standby mode as well while replenishing 50% in just 30 minutes.
For those interested, Nothing’s Phone (1) will be launching across more than 40 countries July 21 at a starting price of £400 GBP (approximately $473 USD). You can learn more about its release and regional availability over on the company’s website.
