Drake's OVO Teases Latest Capsule With Mike Tyson
Recounting the heavyweight champion’s moments in Las Vegas.
Following a capsule with Toronto FC welcoming Italian footballer Lorenzo Insigne to the 6, Drake‘s October’s Very Own lifestyle label taps one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, Mike Tyson for an exclusive collaboration. First announced in a profile shot of Tyson wearing a black and gold OVO owl hoodie, a grainy campaign video was later released recounting Tyson’s early days in the ring and offering a first look at the upcoming pieces.
Teased in the video are blouson jackets and caps featuring Owl and “OVO TYSON” branding with graphic tees also said to be part of the collection. The video zooms past references to Las Vegas, including Caesars Palace, shiny chandeliers, and palm tree sunset outlines with the typography and blue and orange hues mimicking the iconic neon Vegas signs. Iron Mike currently resides in Nevada and has had some of his biggest bouts in Sin City including matches with Peter McNeely, Trevor Berbick, and his rematch with Evander Holyfield.
Look for the full OVO x Mike Tyson collection to arrive on OVO’s website and at select retailers July 8.
