LOEWE Paula's Ibiza Wants You to Smell Like a Hedonistic Balearic Paradise
Welcoming the new “Eclectic” fragrance and a bath line consisting of scrubs and lotions.
Jonathan Anderson‘s LOEWE longs for the sweetest of summer nights, consistently producing collections that inject a sense of nostalgia, serotonin and joy into one’s life. The same can be said for the house’s ongoing partnership with Paula’s Ibiza, a boutique from the ’70s that was founded by Armin Heinemann and Stuart Rudnick that was known for its boldly-printed clothing and equally wild parties. It’s this spirit that captured Anderson’s attention — partly because he frequented Ibiza — and has gone on to define the LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza collections, which expands today with the introduction of a bath line.
Echoing the Balearic themes of LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza’s original Eau de Toilette from 2020 and the new “Eclectic” fragrance, which was made by Jonathan Anderson and the house’s perfumer, Nuria Cruelles, as a unisex fragrance that promises a heady mix of florals layered with Madagascan mandarin and black pepper, comes two new essentials in the bath line: a body scrub and cream.
Per the brand, the new bath line “[allows] one to play with body scent and skin treatment as one does with clothing,” complementing the free-spirited nature of the clothing line with scents and textures that are equally Ibizan. For example, the natural Spanish-sourced ingredients in the body scrub — such as Ibizan salt crystals, ground olive and grape stones, grapeseed oil and honey — combine with the signature “Eclectic” scent for something woody, floral, gourmand and overall rich and succulent on the nose as much as it is on the body.
Following this is the new body cream, which also uses natural ingredients to hydrate the body with an almost water-like quality while also providing an extra layer of the “Eclectic” scent. The new bath line is packed in cylindrical glass jars with wooden caps that echo the energy of Ibiza’s eathly and naturistic qualities, while also harking to the perfumes before.
The new LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza bath collection, as well as the fragrances, can be bought in-store and online now at perfumesloewe.com and LOEWE.
