The year was 2012. Sneakerheads were driving themselves into a frenzy over the Nike Air Yeezy 2, the world was gripped by Psy’s inescapable banger, and commuters in Southeast Asia still took to the streets to hail taxi rides. That was before Grab entered the scene only it was known as MyTeksi then. The ride-hailing app revolutionized the way we travel in the region, and has since expanded its platform to become a superapp dedicated to serving everyday needs as well as empowering everyday entrepreneurs.

This year, Grab celebrates 10 years of making a positive socioeconomic impact on Southeast Asia. To mark the occasion, Grab presents a collection of commemorative swag designs that pays homage to its origin story and highlights the social goodwill that has always been its raison d’être.

Nostalgia is a core theme running through the collection. Tongue-in-cheek slogans like “Take Me Back Home” and “Now That’s What I Call Easy” are illustrated as retro album covers on a hoodie and tee. A collage of newspaper clippings with actual headlines calling out Grab’s contributions to the community is plastered across a tote and face mask. Vintage graphic designs of medicated oil and cough drops allude to the app as a household remedy for the old taxi-hailing pains of long wait time and driver/passenger safety. A classic bowling shirt features the iconic freedom lines that reflect the transition from MyTeksi to Grab.

To reinforce the notion that this milestone is about the Grab community, the limited edition items from the Grab 10versary Throwback collection will be given away to the most loyal users, as well as the longest serving driver, delivery and merchant partners throughout the Southeast Asian region. A limited quantity is also available for sale on the Grab Swag Store, so be sure to cop your faves while stocks last.
