FKA twigs Showcases Power and Vulnerability in “Killer” Music Video

FKA twigs has released the visual for her poignant track, “Killer.”
The track about heartbreak, power and vulnerability was first released in mid-June of this year. Now with the accompanying video, FKA twigs offers a closer look at romantic turmoil through the video’s enchanting scenes. Shot on Praia de Almagreira beach in Portugal, the visual cycles between black and white beach shots with actor Arón Piper and FKA twigs dancing in a studio.
“Twigs approached me with a beautiful treatment for KILLER that she had written about her personal story. It felt empowering and vulnerable at the same time,” said Yoann Lemoine, the video’s director. “It was the perfect opportunity to portray her in a way that we have not seen before, raw and intimate. The video is about the poison and the fuel that personal trauma is in art. How our experience forces us to create and how sometimes it is only inhibition and violence.”
