Glenn Martens has transformed Diesel, and a big part of its reinvention comes down to the brand’s ability to tap into the ongoing obsession with all things Y2K. Take Diesel’s 1DR bag, for example, which doubles as the label’s “it” accessory while also serving those looking for a hit of early 2000s nostalgia. Now, Diesel has unveiled and opened pre-orders for its Fall/Winter 2022 1DR collection, and by doing so it has doubled-down on the noughties fantasy.
Available in a regular size or the desirable extra small iteration, the 1DR is served up in a variety of colorways that are sure to match anyone’s aesthetic. From a mini bag in white or black nappa leather, which make up the more formal parts of this drop, to the energetic mirrored silver iteration or the chrome blue offering, each 1DR has its own personality and style fit for all.
Regardless of the color you choose, each bag proudly sports the Diesel “D” emblem on the front in its shiny enameled metal glory. Inside, you’ll find a generously-sized leather logo patch, while magnetic fastening secures the bag.
