Capping off all of the news it shared during its panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios dropped the first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Directed by the original-movie director, Ryan Coogler, the sequel picks up where Black Panther and deals with the death of star Chadwick Boseman, who played T’Challa, cinematically.

The trailer starts off by showing a nation in mourning, following the death of King T’Challa, highlighting those closest around him. While Wakanda undoubtedly looks to regain its footing a new threat begins to surface. In a first look, we get a better understanding of Namor the Sub-Mariner, played by Tenoch Huerta. Rising from the ocean, the King of Atlantis is shown from an Aztec-inspired civilization and has his sights sets on Wakanda.

Other scenes tease the upcoming appearance of Riri Williams/Ironheart, and Shuri, played by Letitia Wright, picking up the mantle of the Black Panther.

Watch the first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever set to hit theaters November 11 above. Catch a synopsis for the film below.

Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livanalli.
