Balenciaga Unveils Couture Figurines and a Candle
Available at Balenciaga’s Couture store in Paris.

Balenciaga’s 51st haute couture show now only marked Demna’s second couture collection for the house, but a fusion of fashion history and modernity. With figures like Naomi Campbell, Kim Kardashian, Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa and more gracing the runway, Denma’s vision reimaged classic Balenciaga looks with inserts of futuristic vigor. But alongside these imaginative looks and the opening of Balenciaga’s couture store, which happened on the same day as the show, the luxury house has unveiled porcelain figurines and a candle from its objects line.
The limited-edition handcrafted porcelain figurines models Aki Nummela and Minttu Vesala in their respective looks from Balenciaga’s Fall 2021 Couture collection. Made by the Munich-based Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory, the entity is one of the few remaining handcrafted porcelain makers in the world. With keen attention to detail, the figurines mirror their real-life counterparts from the clothes down to the poses.
Next up in the objects line is a minimalist candle that comes in a round mirror-polished silver tin. With notes of burnt incense, old paper, tobacco smoke, tanned leather, aged wool, oak and more, the aroma channels Balenciaga’s Couture heritage and its subsequent re-emergence. Additionally, the refillable candle comes in two sizes.
Both the limited-edition porcelain couture figurines and the candle are available now for purchase at Balenciaga’s Couture store located at 10 Avenue George V in Paris.
