First Look at the 2022 Air Jordan 2 "Chicago"
Built to mimic its original shape from 1986.
While the Dunk hasn’t missed a beat and continues to dominate the sneaker market with a cornucopia of new releases, one can argue that the Air Jordan 2 is having itself a year that’s quite as successful. Collaborations atop the retro Jordan model have been spewing out at rapid rates, but it looks like Jordan Brand is diverting our attention away from its team-ups for a brief second and shining a light on its upcoming Air Jordan 2 “Chicago” retro release.
A rumor started to circulate throughout social media back in March 2022 that these were expected to return to the shelves and now we have an up-close look at an early pair. This 2022 offering is expected to be designed to copy the shoe’s original shape from 1986. Most of the real estate on these Bulls-themed kicks are anchored by white leathers that appear in a smoother form on the collars and mudguards while the toe boxes come perforated and the quarters are done up with croc-like textures. Notes of black are sprinkled to the laces, interiors and midsoles, and “Varsity Red” accents touch up the lower heel overlays as well as the branding on the tongues and heels.
In other news, official images of the Jordan Luka 1 “Signal Blue” have surfaced.
