CARNIVAL Taps 'Initial D' for its "First Stage" Collection
Celebrating Shuichi Shigeno’s iconic street racing manga.




































Reigniting its anime collaboration series this year, Thailand-based retailer CARNIVAL recently unveiled its upcoming Initial D “First Stage” collection. Partnering with Japanese publishing company Kodansha, the collaboration celebrates the iconic street racing manga series written and illustrated by Shuichi Shigeno.
The Initial D x CARNIVAL “First Stage” collection is focusses on streetwear staples marked with scenes and graphics synonymous with the Initial D manga. The collection is comprised of hoodies, crewneck sweatshirts, shirts, T-shirts, pants, shorts, caps, skateboard decks, license plate frames, car visors and more.
The graphic focus of the special range is led by protagonist Takumi Fujiwara and his titular Toyota AE86, followed by Keisuke Takahashi and his Mazda RX-7 FD, Ryosuke Takahashi and his Mazda RX-7 FC, and even the Impact Blue duo, Mako Sato and Sayuki. Other displays help fans show their allegiance to their favorite racing teams: Project D, Red Suns, Night Kids and the Akina Speed Stars.
