Slam Jam and Fila Reveal First-Ever Collaboration

Italian streetwear retailer Slam Jam and activewear brand Fila have collaborated for the first-time ever for a capsule collection called Redefined. The ensemble is part of Slam Jam’s (Un)corporate Uniforms project, which is also its private label arm – a “global expression–and ongoing research project–with the aim to understand and help define the concept of uniform.”

For Slam Jam x Fila’s Redefined, the duo looked to the Italian sports brand’s archives, reintroducing some iconic garments with modern, technical updates. Seven pieces make up the track-and-field-inspired collective that tout functionality and practicality for everyday wear. There are two light outerwear options — a frost grey windbreaker and a track jacket constructed in a lightweight nylon. Complementing apparel also include a pinstriped running top, shorts and a running hat. For casual options, the range has polo shirts, a padded nylon gym bag and a corded sacoche. Colors ranging from grey, white and red drive the timeless appearance of the Redefined capsule which are also marked by co-branded patches featuring Slam Jam’s logo and Fila’s classic insignia.

Slam Jam x Fila Redefined is available exclusively on May 21 on Slamjam.com, Slam Jam shop locations and participating retailers. There will also be a party with Evian Christ in Milan on May 19th to celebrate the launch.
