Eames and Reebok Present a New Classic Leather Footwear Assemblage
Paying homage to EAMES’ ‘The Coloring Toy’ kit, ‘Lounge Chair’ and ‘Ottoman’ and its ‘Elephant’ piece.

Very seldom do we see the realms of furniture and footwear collide, but thanks to Eames and Reebok, we get to experience this with their second capsule collection. After working on a batch of Club Cs, the two entities have reunited and produced a new collaboration that’s centered around the Classic Leather and pays homage to various Eames pieces.
First up on the roster is the “Rosewood” variation which overtly calls out the Lounge Chair and Ottoman pieces. The entire top half and the insoles are plastered with woodgrain patterns to effectively mimic the aesthetic of a plywood shell. Next in the collection is a makeup that is devoted to Eames’ ‘The Coloring Toy’ kit. Styled with white backdrops and sole pieces, the kicks are adorned with all-over geometric outlines to mimic the construction kit, and these are meant to be customized and colored by the wearers. The remaining three colorways in the assemblage are grouped together to form the “Elephant” Pack. This batch is a tribute to the Eames Elephant play figure for children and is translated through a trio of monochromatic iterations that come in “Ice Grey,” “Poppy Red” and Dark Lime and feature the object’s silhouette in shroud form atop the laces.
The entire collection will be dropping via Eames, Reebok and select retailers throughout June, starting with a release for the ‘The Coloring Toy” offering on June 2. In addition, Eames and Reebok will be showcasing the capsule through a special brand experience on Friday, May 20 at Lume Studios in New York City.
