More than a decade after its original release, Remedy Entertainment‘s Alan Wake is now receiving a TV series adaptation on AMC. The announcement was made during the game’s 12th-anniversary celebrations by the studio’s creative director Sam Lake, who said that the developer has been hard at work collaborating with the TV network to bring the franchise onto the television.

Unfortunately, he didn’t have any other details to divulge at the moment, and it’s unclear whether the project will take a live-action approach like HBO‘s The Last of Us or a 3D animated take like Netflix‘s Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.

Along with announcing the upcoming TV series, Remedy also revealed that Alan Wake Remastered currently available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC will soon be making its way to the Nintendo Switch as well. The remastered title will hit the console’s eShop this fall. As for Alan Wake 2, Lake says that “Everything is going really well” and that “a great deal of the game is playable.” However, the studio has also “come to a decision that we will not be showing anything big this summer.”

For fans of Alan Wake, stay tuned for more updates to come.

In other related news, EA has finally announced a release date for the Dead Space remake.
