MARKET Taps Guns N' Roses and Smiley for a '90s Rock-Inspired Capsule
Arriving 40 years after the band’s debut.
Following collaborations with The Rolling Stones and Dennis Rodman, MARKET has announced the release of its newest joint unisex capsule collection with legendary hard rock band Guns N’ Roses and Smiley. The collection arrives forty years after Guns N’ Roses’ debut performance at the Troubadour in Los Angeles and consists of period-correct vintage American denim from the ’80s and ’90s renewed with custom patches and airbrush-style graphics.
Highlights include dark-wash denim jackets featuring logo patchwork and painted skull graphics, heavyweight cotton hoodies, tie-dye sweaters, and trucker hats inspired by the iconic Appetite for Destruction album cover. “The way in which Guns N’ Roses relentlessly stood for freedom of expression and creativity – at all costs – has always been an inspiration to me and to people around the world,” said creative director and founder of MARKET, Mike Cherman.
The full Guns N’ Roses x Smiley collection will be available on MARKET’s website beginning on May 13. Prices range from $45 for the tees to $200 USD for the reworked jeans.
