Bethesda Delays 'Starfield' and 'Redfall' to 2023
Needing more time to “polish” the games.
Following in a long line of delays across the gaming industry, Bethesda has now announced that both Starfield and Redfall will also be delayed. The space-exploring sci-fi open-world title was originally slated to arrive on November 11 while the vampire shooter was meant to be released this summer, but both games have now been delayed to the first half of 2023.
No new dates have been provided for either of them except for the new release window, but Bethesda says the delay is necessary in order for both Arkane Austin and Bethesda Game Studios to ensure the best possible gaming experience for fans.
“We’ve made the decision to delay the launches of Redfall and Starfield to the first half of 2023,” a statement reads from the developer. “The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to ensure that you receive the best, most polished versions of them.”
Bethesda also teased that the company will soon be unveiling their first “deep dive” into both titles soon, so fans of the developer should definitely stay tuned for more updates to come.
