With CAPCOM‘s Sunbreak expansion for Monster Hunter Rise fast approaching, the Japanese video game developer has now hosted a digital event over on YouTube showcasing what fans of the franchise can expect come June. Thrusting you into a whole new location, the upcoming DLC content will feature a host of fresh game modes and mechanics, including the Switch Skill Swap ability and Follower Quests. The former will allow players to swap between move sets for their weapons on the go while the latter is a set of new single-player quests that pairs players up with in-game characters to take on various monsters together, fleshing out the game’s story.

Elder Dragon Malzeno will take center stage as the flagship monster of Sunbreak, but fans will also confront three new additions: Magma Almudron, Aurora Somnacanth, and Seregios from Monster Hunter 4. The introduction of these monsters will debut and bring back different effects that plague your hunters, such as Bleed and Bloodblight.

For those interested in tackling the new monsters, Monster Hunter Rise‘s Sunbreak expansion will arrive on the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on June 30. You can check out both the digital event and the new trailer above and below.
