Will Ferrell Joins Cast of Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie's 'Barbie' Film

Will Ferrell has been cast in Greta Gerwig and Warner Bros.‘ Barbie.

While details of the veteran actor’s character are yet to be revealed, he joins a star-studded cast list comprised of Margot Robbie, who plays the titular character, Ryan Gosling who plays Ken, America Ferrara, Kate McKinnon and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu. The plot details are not confirmed as of writing.

Gerwig will be directing film and co-wrote the script with Noah Baumbach, Josey McNamara and Ynon Kreiz will executive produce and Robbie and Tom Ackerley of her LuckyChap Entertainment production banner, Mattel’s Robbie Brenner and David Heyman will produce.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Matt Reeves and Warner Bros.’ The Batman has received an official premiere date on both HBO and HBO Max.
