Takashi Murakami Reconnects With New Era For New Carrying Options
Featuring waist bags, backpacks, and 9FIFTY caps.
Following a debut collaborative collection of apparel and headwear last December, Takashi Murakami reconnects with New Era this Spring for a three-piece capsule featuring two new carrying options and 9FIFTY caps. Leading the collection is a light backpack found in black featuring all-around embroidery of Murakami’s signature multicolored flowers. Features include integrated side pockets for drink storage, a laptop pocket, and key hooks in the main storage.
Next is a banana-shaped waist bag designed for festivals and casual everyday use with similar flower branding, an external ring for hanging a carabiner, and external mesh pockets. Rounding out the assortment are 9FIFTY KaiKai Kiki graphic caps with detachable cap liners that can be removed and washed.
The collaboration is set to arrive at the New Era website on April 22. Prices range from ¥7,700 to ¥13,200 JPY (approximately $60 to $103 USD).
