Reebok takes a trip down memory lane and looks to commemorate Allen Iverson‘s 2001 game-high scoring performance with the upcoming Reebok Answer IV “54 Points.” The silhouette has lately been receiving a number of treatments including a few from collaborative efforts with brands such as Packer and Bronze56K.

Iverson’s signature shoe has last taken inspiration from his tunnel fit at the 2001 NBA Finals and is currently set to debut in a more sleek outfit quite like the recent Packer edition in “White/Silver.” During Game 2 of the 2001 Eastern Conference Semi-Finals — one of the most exciting series in NBA history — Iverson wore this exact Answer IV colorway and went 21-for-39 shooting with five rebounds which led the Sixers to a 97-92 win over the Toronto Raptors.

The shoe is now making a comeback in its same 2001 form with white premium leather uppers and smokey gray details hitting the laterals, heel, pull tab and tongue tip. A zipper shroud shelters the laces while reflective embellishments are added throughout the upper part of the design.

The Reebok Answer IV “54 Points” is slated to drop on May 5 via select retailers and Reebok’s official website for $150 USD.

Elsewhere in footwear, Joe Freshgoods provided another look at his New Balance 9060 “Inside Voices” collab.
