Pièces Uniques Shares its SS22 "PRIMARY ELEMENTS" Color Study

For Spring/Summer 2022, Pièces Uniques developed a thorough color study centered around the four elements: Water, Fire, Air and Earth. Showcasing the study with its “PRIMARY ELEMENTS” campaign, the evocative look serves as a true ode to the raw nature of colors.
Pièces Uniques Artistic Director, Edmond Luu, looked to develop his love of primary colors, crafting garments that tie the tone with the associated element. Techniques create the link in a subtle display of the contemporary fashion design that has become a signature element of the label.
Processes featured throughout the collection include the thermochromic and waterproofing of fabrics, tectonic plate-inspired yoke details and laser cutting sections for breathability. Pop culture references this time around continue a neo-futuristic outlook drawn from science fiction and manga. Referencing Edmond’s childhood memories of stories told to him by his parents, video games enjoyed with his brother and his love of LEGO.
