Meanswhile's SOLOTEX® Collection Is Designed For Water-Resistant Exploration
Consisting of coordinated, matching T-shirt and shorts combinations.
Introducing its first collection of the year since the well-received A/W collection at the back-end of last year, meanswhile has now introduced a new SOLOTEX® series. Inspired by a layered T-shirt and basketball short set-up, the Spring/Summer 2022 capsule nods to the world of art and design following the the Industrial Revolution and the creation of Bauhaus in 1919.
The collection features a waffle textured fabric across all of the apparel, while also integrating permeable polyester taffeta. This superior stretch, along with its best-in-class kickback properties have been included to provide the upmost in comfort as a group of garments that are destined for a life of exploration.
With the T-shirts and shorts being designed to wear as matching pairs, its seamless functionality boasts stretchy and quick-dry absorption properties. While also being moisture permeable, the collection’s water-repellent draw cord polyester hem is complemented by a non-laminate finish that allows for sweat and vapor to quickly dissipate.
Coming in three different colorways; Beige, Khaki and Off Black, designer, Naohiro Fujisaki, was reportedly drawn to the way certain lights reflected on glass and exterior surroundings, allowing him to pick up key collars that have been incorporated into this collection. Drawing not only from Bauhaus, but also the modern design principle of “form follows function,” and its antithesis, “function follows form.”
The SOLOTEX® “Waffle Series” collection is available on meanswhile.com now.
In other news, the first drop of Virgil Abloh’s final Louis Vuitton’s Pre-FW22 collection has arrived.
