Daniel Caesar is on his way to releasing his third studio LP album, and he’s delivered the first single titled “Please Do Not Lean” which features fellow Canadian instrumental band BADBADNOTGOOD.

The new tune was officially released to the public on April 22, 2022, but Caesar took the liberty of debuting the song during his set at weekend one of Coachella — a show-stopping performance that also entailed a surprise guest appearance from Justin Bieber who sang “Peaches” with him. It’s emotional in every sense of the word as it touches on one’s inability to show up for a lover. “Please do not lean on me I’m unstable”, he croons on the chorus. “‘Please Do Not Lean’ represents a deeper understanding of myself and acknowledging the responsibilities I currently hold, respecting them and knowing my limits of when I can take on more,” he explains. “This is an introduction to the sound and tone of the next chapter in my career.”

Listen to the new track here above and note that the R&B artist also dropped merch to go along with the release.

For other news, Calvin Harris confirms that Funk Wav Bounces Vol.2 is slated to drop during Summer ‘22.
