Coinbase Launches Beta Version of Its NFT Marketplace
Opening primarily to US users based on their positions on the Coinbase NFT waitlist.

Coinbase released the Beta version of its highly-anticipated NFT marketplace on Wednesday after teasing the concept last year.
The cryptocurrency trading app says that its NFT marketplace will be a Web3 peer-to-peer social platform, with a focus on making collecting, creating, and connecting to NFT communities easier. Starting today, the Ethereum-based platform will open for users in the U.S., with access being granted based on their positions on the Coinbase NFT waitlist. After a few weeks of testing, the platform will begin to roll out to more people and countries.
The company’s vision for the new NFT platform is to make economic freedom attainable for more people by making the creator economy more accessible.
While the marketplace will allow users to securely transact, Coinbase NFT is making social interaction a key priority — one that differentiates it from other NFT marketplaces. The platform will allow users to build out a profile featuring their created or collected NFTs, and will offer a follow feature, as well as an “accounts to follow” section, to help users better connect. There will also be a comment feature that allows users to leave comments on each other’s NFTs.
The platform offers a wide range of featured creators and brands like Doodles, Azuki, and TIME Pieces. Interested parties can visit nft.coinbase.com to learn more.
