Of all the fashion houses that have branched into homeware, Dior Maison is one of the very finest, and now it explores the worlds of woodwork and glass blowing in a collection co-designed by Pierre Yovanovitch.

Titled “Midi,” which takes its name from the term for the South of France, the collection looks to two stories that evoke mid-century modern elegance alongside French tradition. Notably, Christian Dior‘s property Château de la Colle Noire in the village of Montauroux in the Var country combines with Château de Fabrègues, the place that Yovanovitch has called home for the last ten years.

Combined, fifteen objects reflect the spirit of Southern France, promising a “simple, solid, and noble” variety of homeware pieces that are pure and functional without forgetting the artistic backbone of Dior.

The result includes local, sustainable materials selected for their beauty and timelessness that have been worked into becoming a candle holder, a lamp, two frames, a mirror, a pencil holder, and two tissue boxes, all finished in a natural wood grain and hue. Additionally, you’ll find an Oblique-adorned dish, a cigar box, and another Oblique tray. Simplistic does not mean these pieces cannot be elegant — in fact, it’s their minimal mid-century lines and shapes that lend themselves to being so timelessly chic.

Take a look at the Dior Maison “Midi” collection by Pierre Yovanovitch above, and shop the collection in-store now.
