Rains and Palladium Unite For SS22 Footwear Collaboration
Scandinavian functionality meets French sophistication.
First teased in its Spring/Summer 2022 lookbook earlier this year, Danish outerwear label Rains has delved into the footwear market this season, alongside French boot aficionados Palladium.
Delivering takes on two epochal Palladium designs, Rains has reimagined the Pallashock and Pampa silhouettes using the fabrics and colorways it has become renowned for.
The Pallashock Rain Shoe — which arrives in either black, “Fossil” or “Cement” — is built on a lightweight low-cut outsole and paired with an EVA midsole and perforated sockliner for ultimate comfort, cushioning and breathability.
The Pampa Boot boasts a similar EVA-cushioned midsole and hugging heel cup, beneath uppers that pair ballistic nylon canvas with a stretchy neoprene. Outsoles are reflected on the uppers in the form of rubber TPU welded frames, alongside two-tone laces, rubberized hooks, eyelets and lace ends, as subtle branding towards the heel rounds things out.
