Longtime partners Concepts and Nike have banded together once again to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the beloved Air Max 1. Together, the duo has fashioned three unique colorways, one of which is the Concepts x Nike Air Max 1 “Heavy” that has just been unveiled by way of official imagery.

For this collaboration, the two parties delve into the world of the ’60s and ’70s eccentric music festival scene. They nod to this era by making use of wild and louder patterns and mashing them together on the classic Swoosh silhouette. Like its previously revealed “Mellow” colorway, light-washed tie-dye denim makes its way onto the toe boxes and quarter panels. Mudguards have been modified with traditional tiger camo graphics, while the heel overlays have been designed with bright orange bandana graphics. Around the collars, you’ll find repetitive Concepts branding, while the lateral Swooshes usher in stripes and the medial logos are done up with floral embroidery to call out the retro fashion trends. Multi-colored motifs show up on the decorative midsole graphics and tongue’s Concepts lettering, and the kicks come packaged with hangtags that are shaped like guitar picks. Moreover, the shoeboxes borrow the shoe’s patterns to lay over its various branded hits, and the tissue paper also comes styled with flower patterns.

You can expect Concepts and retailers such as DSML to drop these in these in the coming weeks for $170 USD.
