Brain Dead and Arc'teryx Present ALL RISE Fest
Promoting outdoor activities for all with a public climbing competition, live sets, and comedy.
Brain Dead and Arc’Teryx are joining forces to present ALL RISE Fest, a day-long celebration at the Long Beach Rising rock climbing gym in Long Beach, California.
Founded in 2021, ALL RISE is an experimental program founded by Brain Dead, Long Beach Rising, and rock climbing phenom Ashima Shiraishi with the mission of making climbing and outdoor activities more accessible to marginalized communities. So far, ALL RISE has built a free-to-all climbing wall inside Long Beach Rising and established a scholarship program for those who want to pursue the sport.
“It is our belief that bettering ourselves is synonymous with bettering our community. The ALL RISE Foundation is our way of giving our neighboring youth a new look at the world and themselves through climbing. ALL RISE is our promise to keep rising, together. ALL RISE. ALWAYS RISING,” writes the project description.

The upcoming ALL RISE Festival will begin with a multi-level public combing competition highlighting prominent indoor and outdoor climbers. Competitors include Ashima Shiraishi, US Olympian Brooke Raboutou, and Shawn Raboutou of Mellow Climbing Following the competitions, an evening concert will be held in the courtyard featuring live sets, DJ sets, and comedy shows from Tim Heidecker, Miya Folick, Vagabon, Favela, Sydnee Washington, and more.
Attendees will have the opportunity to enter the ALL RISE raffle featuring products donated by Arc’teryx, Brain Dead, K2, Oakley, Vibram, and ROA, and limited-edition collaborative merch from Brain Dead, Ar’teryx, and Mellow Climbing will also be available for purchase with all proceeds benefitting ALL RISE.
