'Better Call Saul' Final Season Trailer Chronicles the Evolution of Saul Goodman
Part One will premiere on April 18.
AMC has dropped off the official trailer for the sixth and final season of the highly-acclaimed Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul, starring Bob Odenkirk.
“Whatever happens next, it’s not going to go down the way you think it is,” warns Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) during the trailer. The preview sees Odenkirk’s Jimmy McGill evolve into his crooked, criminal defense lawyer persona Saul Goodman and chronicles the con man’s chaotic journey ahead of the events of Breaking Bad.
“In my eyes, this is our most ambitious, surprising and, yes, heartbreaking season,” said co-creator and showrunner Peter Gould in a statement. “Even under incredibly challenging circumstances, the whole Saul team — writers, cast, producers, directors and crew — have outdone themselves. I couldn’t be more excited to share what we’ve accomplished together.”
Along with Odenkirk and Banks, the final season stars Rhea Seehorn as Kim, Giancarlo Esposito as Gus, Michael Mando as Nacho, Tony Dalton as Lalo and several others.
The 13-episode final season will air in two parts, with the first seven episodes scheduled to roll out weekly beginning April 18 on AMC. Following a six-week break, the last six episodes will start to release on July 11.
