You can always expect
For context, Wabi-Sabi is a Japanese concept that references the appreciation of imperfections, which is probably why you’ll find an array of blueprint-like details throughout the shoes. From a palette standpoint, earthy tongues take the wheel here. Various shades of brown split between the suede mudguards, olive dresses up the heel overlays and Swooshes, a mustardy yellow fits the lower throat and a pale beige hue dons the quarter overlays. Exposed stitchings outline nearly every panel of the base layer as well as the forefoot Swooshes to give the kicks a deconstructed look, and “XXXV” is embroidered into the lateral heel to call out its 35th anniversary. Heels forgo the traditional Nike Air branding and are crafted with a Nike smiley face, and the tongues now have windows for you to personalize with the various patches that the shoes come packaged with. Downstairs, the midsoles are fashioned with a creamy exterior that bears crack-like patterns, and these are glued above gum soles.
Take a closer look at the pair in the gallery above and anticipate a launch to go down exclusively in the Asia-Pacific and Latin America regions on March 26.
For other news, the LeBron x Nike Dunk Low “Fruity Pebbles” is revealed.
