Weber Honors Spice Girls in Nostalgic Vintage Capsule
Following the 25th anniversary of “Wannabe.”
This month, Japanese vintage collective weber readies a capsule with Spice Girls following the 25th anniversary of their number-one hit single “Wannabe” last year. In 2020, “Wannabe” was ranked “Most Streamed ’90s Song by a Female Artist” on Spotify, a testament to the group’s lasting impact as the original inventors of “Girl Power” til today.
Leading the lineup are the white vintage T-Shirt and gray hoodie adorned with graphics of the English powerhouse’s debut studio album “Spice,” which marked the beginning of their illustrious reign in the ’90s. Meanwhile, another version of the same silhouettes shows off the girls’ unique charisma as the different spices of “Posh,” “Ginger,” “Baby,” “Sporty,” and “Scary.” Other standout pieces include T-Shirts in black and white colorways decorated with a monochrome image of the group and nostalgic trucker caps in black/white and pink/white colorways.
The SPICE GIRLs capsule collection by weber comprising printed hoodies, T-shirts, trucker caps, and more will be available for pre-order for 48 hours only from Friday, February 25, on HBX.
