Nike Brings the Air Max BW Back In OG "Sport Red" Colorway
A Tinker Hatfield classic returns.
Tinker Hatfield has made many legendary Nike sneakers, ranging from classics such as the Air Jordan III and Air Max 1 to rarities such as the Air Mag and even these GRs, the Air Max BW. Now, the pair is returning in a faithful OG colorway: “Sport Red.”
The Air Max BW is known for comfort that goes beyond just a clever sole unit. Here, mesh has been used for the sneaker’s underlying base, with lightweight synthetic materials sitting on top to create the shoe’s retro ’90s aesthetic. Elsewhere, a rubberized Swoosh adorns the mid-panels, leading to the Air Max-branded heel clip that sits underneath a well-padded collar, added for extra comfort.
For those unaware, BW stands for “Big Window,” referencing the visible and much larger section of Air added into the midsole. This works alongside anatomical arch supports added inside the footbed to create a well-supported, highly-comfortable sneaker that’s geared towards being worn all day long throughout various activities.
Rounding out the plush sneaker is a padded tongue embossed with Nike branding, foam insoles, and all-around ventilation. Take a look at the Nike Air Max BW OG “Sport Red” above, and pick up a pair from Sivasdescalzo via a raffle for €140 EUR (approximately $159 USD).
In other news, ALIFE has collaborated with adidas Consortium on two Nizza Hi sneakers.
