ALIFE Gives adidas Consortium's Nizza Hi a Lush Suede Makeover
Coming in “Cream White” or “Clear Sky.”
New York imprint ALIFE and adidas have a well-documented history together, frequently working on the Nizza Hi to produce badge-adorned pairs, an “Art Museum” iteration, and another inspired by nightclubs. Now, the two are back with the adidas Consortium Nizza Hi in “Cream White/Off White” and “Clear Sky/Off White.”
This time around, the basketball icon has been decked entirely in supple suede, finished with a thick hairiness to its texture that makes the uppers look as premium as can be. Traditional ALIFE and adidas elements appear all around, from the former’s badge that hits up the lateral rear-quarter sitting just on top of the midsole, to the latter’s classic adidas Trefoil branding that graces the canvas tongue tag.
Elsewhere, the shoe is rather simplistic. A rubberized toe bumper has been added in “Off White,” while here ALIFE adds a stamp reading 1999 — the year the streetwear stalwart was founded by Arnaud Delecolle, Tony Arcabascio, Tammy Brainard and Rob Cristofaro.
Tonal eyelets, contrasting laces, and a heel tab made from the same suede round out the pair. Take a look at ALIFE’s adidas Consortium Nizza Hi duo above, and purchase both colorways from retailers including Asphalt Gold on March 3 for €99 EUR each (approximately $112 USD).
In other news, atmos Tokyo and adidas Originals are back together again.
