Showing at New York Men’s Day for the first time, American heritage brand Perry Ellis worked from a theme of urban cityscapes and outdoor nature for its Fall/Winter 2022 collection.

The brand’s identifiable logo and casual sportswear approach took on a new form with woolen overcoats, track suits, tops, bottoms and accessories. Bold knitwear was designed with a reimagining of the American flag, recycled cotton denim was presented in contrasting blue-and-white chalk stripes, and bomber jackets received sleek fabric treatment.

Collection highlights include a red-and-white hooded logo tracksuit, fleece full-zip jackets, insignia bucket hats and beanies, and oversized tote bags.

Describing the advancement of the brand, Vice President of Design, Thomas Harvey shared, “We are excited for the relaunch of Perry Ellis America and looking forward to the future of the brand.”

“Our goal is to stay true to our roots and keep authenticity at the core while rethinking our iconic pieces in a new and thoughtful way for the modern audience’s lifestyle,” he added.

In addition to the brand’s reinvention, a design competition for emerging labels took place at this year’s Men’s Day, offering the winner a chance to design a future Perry Ellis capsule collection.
