Take a Look Inside Devin Booker's Contemporary Desert Oasis
Equipped with a full garage of vintage collectible cars.
Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker is considered one of the most versatile young NBA players in the league. On the court, Booker has shown that he has the ability to pull up and make difficult shots with ease. Off the court, the 25-year-old is known for a different kind of ease, showing off his effortlessly, fashionable outfits. In his latest interview with Architectural Digest, the star shooting guard shows that his keen eye for style extends from his apparel and sneakers collection to the design of his desert home as well.
The basketball athlete takes fans inside his expansive Phoenix oasis where the home is centered around entertaining friends, family and teammates in elite style. Booker’s sleek Arizona oasis is a contemporary single-story home that looks out to the nearby Phoenix Mountains Preserve giving the house breathtaking nature views. AD100 firm Clements Design helped bring Booker’s dream home to life. When working on the house Kathleen Clements looked towards Booker’s everyday style to inform the team on how the house should look. She said, “All you need to know about Devin’s eye for design is in the way he dresses. Everything he wears is cool and stylish but in a very natural way. It’s not something everyone can pull off.”
Keeping Booker’s love for entertaining in mind, the Clements team worked closely with L.A.-based Karan Brady Interiors to ensure that the home featured both functional and stylish interiors including custom furniture that would accommodate Booker’s fellow pushing seven-feet tall basketball friends. Booker’s home is an amalgamation of modern structures with lived-in objects. He explains that one of his most used pieces of furniture are the vintage armchairs from Lucca Antiques, surrounding his custom walnut games table in the rec room. He also discussed transforming his old gaming room into a sophisticated home office. At the center of the room is a 1950s Renzo Schirolli desk. The dining room consists of one of Booker’s most favorite art pieces, a James Turrell LED wall sculpture, “Having this beautiful piece of art that me and my guests can appreciate while enjoying a meal.”
Some of the key features in the home include a wall-to-wall collection of sneakers, mostly containing Converses, which Booker has called his favorite shoe and Nike Dunks. Booker’s collection of vintage American cars including the 1959 Chevrolet Impala and 1970 Chevy K5 Blazer are placed on display in a multi-room garage. Take a look at Booker’s desert oasis above.
