Les Benjamins Paints a Colorful Mirage in SS22 Collection
Jump into the brand’s Mystic Journey.

Coming off Les Benjamins‘ silk-wrapped pre-SS22 offering, the brand extends its meditative voyage with its Majorelle Gardens-meets-Kasbah new season collection.
A melange of bold styles breathes life into this Spring/Summer 2022 collection. From the hand-embroidered flowers and birds to the array of vivid colors that come together to mimic kaleidoscopic patterns, the range offers delicate detailing upon punchy summertime streetwear looks.
With a thirst for a vibrant post-lockdown life, founder and creative director Bunyamin Aydin says, “I felt like I needed a mystic journey that is going to make me forget about the here and now, and take me to tomorrow”. Adding, “The Majorelle Garden has always mesmerized me and when I took a deeper look into Marrakesh, I really felt the urge to cast my eye there this season.”
In the men’s line, these influences are crafted into Sherbert-toned workwear jackets and slacks with faint middle-eastern carpet patterns. While in the women’s line incorporates 1970s inspired flare-cuts with psychedelic prints, adding to the retro-futurism look of the collection.
Drawing on Aydin’s cultural duality – with roots in Turkey to his current home in Germany – other garments in the collection put a streetwear spin on the traditional eastern patterns. Take the Djellabas throw-over, which adopts a large, oversized silhouette, or the Turkish boncuk amulet which is sewn onto the hood on a complimenting jacket.
