Laurent Ferrier Tells a Forty-Year-Old Story With the Release of the Sport Auto Blue
Featuring the new Calibre LF270.01 movement.
After paying tribute to ’70s motor racing with the Tourbillon Grand Sport, Laurent Ferrier is back with another homage to racing.
The Sport Auto Blue sits at 41.5mm on the wrist and is made from grade 5 titanium. The dial is a captivating blue opaline gradient with a sloped and beveled date aperture at 3 o’clock. The round dial is framed by a cushion-shaped bezel and is further brought to life with the white gold/green lume “Assegai” style hands and small seconds at the 6 o’clock position.
The reverse side is equally impressive with a full sapphire caseback that displays the new Calibre LF270.01 movement which features a micro-rotor, Swiss lever escapement, 31 jewels, and a power reserve of 72 hours. Complementing the watch is a fully integrated bracelet made from the same grade 5 titanium. Laurent Ferrier has this priced at 46,000 CHF (approximately $50,000 USD).
