Javier Calleja Reworks Classic Vault by Vans Silhouettes
Adding his big-eyed characters to footwear and apparel.
Malaga-based artist Javier Calleja has partnered with Vault by Vans for a new collection celebrating his signature characters and artwork. The artwork adorns apparel and footwear, with T-shirts, hoodies and accessories alongside new takes on some of Vans’ best-loved sneakers.
Standout silhouettes include the Authentic, which is finished with the “You Have No Choice” motif across its heel and midsole, as well as one of Calleja’s big eyes characters on the forefoot. Other silhouettes include the Sk8-Hi, Slip-On and Chukka Boot, which also showcase Calleja’s signature style.
Launching the apparel and footwear collection, Calleja said:
“With drawings you can go to the end of the world and back on the same day. Being able to explore new mediums and bring my art to life across my favorite footwear and apparel silhouettes is an honor.”
