The final trailer for Morbius has been released. Starring Jared Leto as the titular Marvel character, the video gives viewers some insight into the origin story of the “Living Vampire.”

A scientist attempting to find a cure for a rare blood disease, Morbius accidentally infects himself with a form of vampirism. He finds himself torn between his old identity and his new superhuman appearance and powers.

Morbius will join Sony‘s Spider-Man Universe as the third film in the franchise. While it was initially slated for release in July 2020, filming was pushed back due to the pandemic. It’s now due in theaters on April 1.

Alongside Leto, the movie stars Matt Smith as Loxias Crown, a friend with the same blood disease, and Adria Arjona as Martine Bancroft, a scientist and Morbius’ fiancee. Jared Harris plays Morbius’s mysterious mentor and Al Madrigal and Tyrese Gibson portray FBI agents hunting Morbius.

Morbius is out exclusively in movie theaters on April 1.

In other entertainment news, Steven Spielberg is bringing back Steve McQueen’s character Frank Bullitt.
