Take an Official Look at the Balenciaga Defender Sneaker "Black" and "Beige"

Shortly after being sported by Justin Bieber in new campaign imagery, we now have an official look at the Balenciaga Defender Sneaker.

Set to debut in “Black” and “Beige,” the upcoming footwear model introduced in Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection is inspired by the look of a tire. The Defender Sneaker features a leather-free build with uppers constructed of mesh and nylon with a weathered effect. Detailing comes in the form of Balenciaga logos debossed on the tongue, size markings at the toe, debossed logos at the rear and heel pull tabs. Elevating the shoe are extreme tire tread sole units with a 5mm arch for an assisted ride.

It is interesting to note, the shoe is just the latest in Balenciaga’s commitment to the sustainable and ethical management of its operations. The label aims to reduce its environmental impact at all levels for social and ecological responsibility.

Priced at $1,090 USD, coming in “Black” and “Beige” the Defender Sneaker is set to release via Balenciaga March 1.
