Offset Presented With Key to Gwinnett County
Honored during his inaugural Offset Toy Giveaway.
Offset was presented with the key to Gwinnett County while hosting the inaugural Offset Toy Giveaway. For the first of what is expected to be a recurring annual event, the Migos rapper handed out Christmas gifts to local children in his community.
“I just wanted to give back to my community. Thanks to all the kids for always supporting me and always listening to me and always just being there for me, you know,” Offset said to the crowd, according to Fox 5 Atlanta. “Y’all hold me up. You know we’ve been going through a tough time, but God is good.”
The mayor of Lawrenceville, Offset’s hometown, was also in attendance to thank the rapper for his continued support of the community and present him with the key.
“I like to see when celebrities give back to the community, and you know, do their best to make sure that the kids get where they need to go,” Offset told Fox 5.
Offset recently took to social media to share a photo of his late cousin Takeoff, expressing that it’s difficult to “keep walking with [his] head up.”
In his latest post, Offset shared a carousel of images from the toy drive and shared that he’s planning to do more philanthropy for his community following the toy drive.
