Simon Porte Jacquemus‘ eponymous French House has a penchant for color — it’s just released a collaboration with Tekla, while runway shows like Spring/Summer 2020’s “Le Coup De Soleil” was saturated in hot pink, a tone that now acts as the base for Jacquemus‘ next Nike Air Humara LX collaboration.

Officially releasing in “Pink Flash,” the sneaker has previously been teased in a Central Cee-fronted campaign and switches the palette up considerably from the House’s previous renditions in natural creamy brown tones from the “Le Papier” range.

Perfect for adding a splash of Y2K pop princess tones to a muted wintertime look, the Air Humara LX is the result of plenty of archive digging. Like the color it uses, the shapes and references are equally retro — old ACG trail sneakers, elements from the original ‘97 Humara, and luxurious materials combine for something that’s bold but versatile, just like old ACG sneakers should be.

Close-pore mesh has been used for the majority of the upper to provide breathability, while supple suede and leather maps out the sneaker’s technical, trekking aesthetic that’s further accented by webbing details. Likewise, the signature gold-toned mini Swoosh hits up the lateral mid-panel, while a textile-wrapped midsole, Jacquemus tongue, heel, and insole branding and a tongue loop, cream laces and a gum outsole toothed to the most tactile degree rounds out the sneaker.

The Jacquemus x Nike Air Humara LX in “Pink Flash” is set to drop on December 9 at 8 a.m. GMT on SNKRS and will cost £152.95 GBP — those in the U.S. need to keep an eye on the SNKRS drop calendar for more information. Take a closer look at the anticipated pair above.

Elsewhere, we headed inside the Virgil Abloh: The Codes c/o Architecture exhibit in Miami.
