Drake's OVO Connects With LOONEY TUNES for a Nostalgic Collaboration
Campaign fronted by NCAA basketball star, Amari Bailey.
Drake‘s lifestyle label OVO has launched a collaborative collection with the nostalgic cartoon characters of LOONEY TUNES. Amari Bailey, now a collegiate basketball player at UCLA, fronts the campaign. The young player has been previously linked to Drake after he reportedly received an iced-out owl pendant from the 6God.
Taking it back to the carefree days of our childhood, the nostalgic capsule brings together some of fans’ favorite LOONEY TUNES characters with October’s Very Own. Arriving in a selection of classic staples in white, black and grey, OVO presents a selection of hoodies, crewnecks, sweatpants, baseball caps and of course, its own iteration of a varsity jacket, to the collection. The October’s Very Own moniker is seen on the crewneck sweaters, featuring Bugs Bunny and his iconic carrot-eating imagery embroidered onto the piece. The hoodie arrives in a couple of designs, also featuring Bugs Bunny embroidered in gold on the front, while the other tasks the owl emblem and combines it with the OVO phrasing. The entire gang of LOONEY TUNES characters is vividly highlighted on the sweatpants using the iconic cartoon graphics. The characters are most prominently seen on the co-branded varsity jacket in black and white, which also features the iconic line, “That’s all, Folks!” embroidered on the back.
Marvin the Martian, Tweety, Bugs Bunny and the Tasmania Devil receive their own hats in accessories and as a nod to Drake’s newfound “Stakes” hobby, a limited edition LOONEY TUNES x OVO set of playing cards is also available. The entire collection is now ready for purchase online.
