atmos and ASICS Reunite for New "Aged Map" Sneaker

Japanese retailer atmos has unveiled a new collaborative GEL-LYTE III sneaker with ASICS, a long-overdue sequel to the “World Map” edition that was released back in 2018.

The old version of the shoe looked into the world map as a whole, however this time around, the new “Aged Map” version is much more intricate with its details and focuses on the land that covers the globe, rather than the rivers and oceans that separate the world’s nations.

With this in mind, the new GEL-LYTE III uses the entire globe as its main foundation as the earthy details are coated across the silhouette’s paneling with additional landmasses taking over each exterior feature. What’s more is that the colorway also includes additional cartographic details; such as a compass motif, scale, and orientation indicators.

Each one of these finer details throughout the sneaker taps into planet earth during its early stages of evolution and steers away from the modern-day world of skyscrapers, suburban lifestyles, and high populations.

You can take a closer look at the atmos x ASICS GEL-LYTE III “Aged Map” above, and the sneaker will be available on the official atmos website from December 9.
