Full Look at the Off-White™ c/o POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF) "EQUIPMENT™" Collection
Accompanied by collaborative items with Victorinox and Helinox.
Unveiled during Off-White™‘s Fall 2022 Ready-to-Wear collection runway presentation, POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF) has now released its highly-anticipated collaboration with Off-White™. Conceived by the late Virgil Abloh, the special partnership started back in 2020 when Abloh connected with PAF to develop a collection that explores the terrain of today.
The duo explored performance wear that represents an intersection of design and utility. Building on the prompt to create the Off-White™ c/o POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF) “EQUIPMENT™” collection, multitool name Victorinox and outdoors specialist Helinox were also brought in to explore the outlook of fashion and function.
Comprised of 12-pieces, the Off-White™ c/o POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF) “EQUIPMENT™” collection developed functional and conceptual designs that explore the meaning and survival of mankind in the present age. Drawing from the birth of Western history to the Renaissance, the beginning of modernism, and today’s postmodernism, Adam and Eve’s fig leaves were used as motifs that represent human evolution.
The unique nature-driven design element adorns a bomber jacket, hoodie, long sleeve T-shirt, bucket hat, and backpack to form a ghillie suit-like camouflage. The design is continued on Helinox’s portable Sunset Chair and Table One developed for the collection.
Made in Switzerland, PAF reinterpreted the Victorinox Camper in the form of a primitive stone tool. The Corian® housing is marked with a graphic display representing the development of the knife from its stone tool origin and transforms Victorinox’s logo. The stainless steel tools included express a form of formed stones and serve as a large blade, small blade, wood saw, reamer, corkscrew, keyring, wire stripper, bottle opener, screwdrivers, and can opener.
The Off-White™ c/o POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF) “EQUIPMENT™” collection is finished by 3D printed “Equipment Stones” that serve to reinforce the philosophical thrust of the collection.
Accompanying the collaboration, POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF) has also developed a series of merchandise for Virgil Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” exhibition. Comprised of a T-shirt and hat, the range builds on the fig leaf aesthetic with a black/white contrast design.
