R. Talsorian Games Announces ‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners’ Mission Kit for Its Tabletop Game
Including details on the lore about the Dark Future, Night City, Edgerunners team, and more.
Following the success of Netflix’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, there has been a surging interest in Cyberpunk 2077, the CD Projekt Red video game that shared the same premise as the anime. Newer fans may not be aware that Cyberpunk 2077 owes its lore to R. Talsorian Games, the developer of the OG tabletop RPG games, Cyberpunk 2020 and Cyberpunk Red.
Coming full circle, R. Talsorian Games announced that a new starter kit, inspired by Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is currently in development for Cyberpunk Red. Dubbed Cyberpunk Edgerunners Mission Kit, the new starter set will include “essential rules as well as lore about the Dark Future, Night City, Edgerunners team, and more!”
R. Talsorian further elaborates, “the Cyberpunk Edgerunners Mission Kit will guide fans of the series new to tabletop roleplaying through the process of telling their own stories in Night City. At the same time, existing players of Cyberpunk RED will get their first glimpse into the cyberware, firepower, and netrunning skills of the 2077 era.”
More information on the Cyberpunk Edgerunners Mission Kit will be released in the near future.
